Howards Race Day 2025 Castle Combe - BMW M2

Howards Race Day at Castle Combe circuit marked both James and the M2's race debuts and the start of Onna Motorsports 2025 season

With a wet qualifying James Kembrey managed to bag a P3 and P2 for the races today. The M2 and James showed very good pace in challenging conditions.

Race 1 - With a wet race track with a drying line and almost 600 BHP on tap the M2 struggled to get power down on the rolling start which lead to a small drop down the order, but once composed and settled in to the race great pace was shown yet again . With an ever drying track and the wets getting very hot towards the end of the race, coming home in P6 overall and 1st in class was a great result.

Race 2 - Starting on the front row of the grid this time on a dry track with slicks on Jay made a much better get away and maintained his position behind an insanely fast Lamborghini. As the M2 found its groove and the tyres came on the lap times plummeted, we had lost a couple of spots running in 5th overall and P1 in class. In the closing stages of the race Jay had caught back up to the Audi R8 running 4th. With a lap to go the car experienced a little fuel surge so James  backed off as there was a large gap between himself and 6th place and brought the thirsty M2 home 5th Overall and 1st in class.

With the 3rd fastest lap of the day and only professional drivers lapping faster we don't think that's a bad way to make your racing debut in the hot seat and cannot wait until the next one !
